Family Dinner – Poulsbo Lifestyle Photographer

For a little over a year our family has subscribed to a mail service called Turntable Kitchen.  Every month we get a box with some new music (which my husband loves because he is a bit of an audiophile) and a few recipe cards with a specialty ingredient (which I love because I like food in a truly unapologetic way — sorry, not sorry).  The recipes are usually a bit involved and certainly fancier than what I would end up making on a random Tuesday night so “making a box” always ends up being a bit of an event in our house.  The TV is off, my husband and I get to work with different jobs and our son pops his head in frequently to try help and/or watch what we are doing.  This past Friday evening we set to work on our February box which included a dinner of vegetarian sloppy joes and baked onion rings. Then after the kiddo went to bed we treated ourselves to the third course, strawberry chocolate floats with rum.  It was a pretty nice end to a long week.
