Information Collected

If you sign up for my newsletter I’ll collect your name and email address. If you inquiry about a photography session or hire me I will collect a little more information about you. This information will include basic contact information, names and ages of those I am photographing, as well as some general ice breaker/get to know you type information. I collect this information because I will need to be in contact with you to schedule our session, mail out tangible product (or know where to go, if I am shooting at your home), and to generally get to know you/your family in order to give you the best photo session possible.

How is this information kept?

All newsletter information is stored with MailChimp. All session inquiry and basic client profile information is kept with a professional studio managements system called Tavé. All “get to know you” information is kept in a form builder system called MachForms. All these programs are password protected and I am the only user with access to these accounts.

How long is this information kept?

Session inquiry/client information is kept for a matter of years so that the next time you hire me I don’t need to ask you for your contact info again and so that I can jog my memory and remember details about your family like the names of your kids, their ages, if you have a dog, or if there is something super unique about your family that I shouldn’t forget. Naturally, if you contact me and ask me erase that information I will happily comply.

If you subscribe to my newsletter that information is kept until you unsubscribe.

Use of your likeness (i.e. photos of you) and third parties.

As a part of my contract you will be asked to sign a model release which allows me to use your likeness (photos of you/your family) in the process of self-promotion. This is an umbrella that covers use on my website, my marketing, features on third party websites and/or publications, competitions and so on. If it is promoting myself as an artist and/or Little Fish Photo as a business, the model release is in effect. Your images will not, however, be used commercially for any third parties without your knowledge or additional consent.

I do have a stock portfolio with two reputable companies and I will, on rare occasion, solicit a commercial release from individuals I photograph. This is an entirely different set of paperwork that would be signed and we would have a separate conversation about it before you signed anything.
