5th Anniversary Type Extra – Bainbridge Island Lifestyle Photographer

When Wendy contacted me for a family session she mentioned that it would be in celebration of her and her husband’s 5th wedding anniversary. Which is fabulous! Getting portraits taken as adults, after the wedding photos, is something so many people shy away from. But when we don’t take the time to make those portraits that element of our legacy fades away.

Then, I received the responses from Wendy’s questionnaire which kinda threw me for a loop. She mentioned that she and her husband have been described as “a bit extra”. They like to really go hard and enjoy life. And, oh, they have a tradition of dressing up in their wedding wear to celebrate their anniversary.

You guys. This super interesting couple gets decked out in their wedding clothes every year. That is incredible! What was most incredible though was getting a chance to talk to them about it and hearing about how much value and consideration they put into being married. Getting dressed up and celebrating their anniversary in a big way is how they encourage themselves to stop, pause, and honor their marriage.

This year was extra fun because they got to include their adorable, little addition in their annual celebration as well. Check out a few sneak preview images of their anniversary session. This family showed up!
