Patterns were the basis of my weekly exercise for week 18 of my 52 week project. Although, in all fairness, when talking about photographic composition it is less about a pattern and more about a break in the pattern. A red umbrella in a sea of black ones or one person going against the flow of foot traffic.
Instead of going out in search of patterns and repeating elements, I decided to style a few images in my kitchen. A series of spoons and art supplies.
And lastly, here is a random and adorable picture of my son, who is currently obsessed with spoons. Seriously. You pull out some spoons (especially measuring spoons) in the kitchen and the kid is immediately underfoot.
